Kelly Meier Memorial Trail Ride 2018

Join us for our annual trail ride!

This year’s 25th annual trail ride in Memory of Kelly Meier was held at the Chaffie Hollow Country Club in Potosi, WI on September 16, 2018. Over 60 riders enjoyed some of the most beautiful countryside as they rode through the woods and valleys of SW WI.

Join us September 15, 2019 for this annual event. Please watch for signs marking the parking area for trailers. Trail ride leaves at 9:30 a.m for the full day ride. This is a donation only event. Bring your own lunch. Refreshments can be purchased at each of the ride stops. After the ride, enjoy a potluck supper, along with raffles and a 50/50. All donations support Thursday’s Child and area youth to participate in local horse camp.

Projects

Thursday’s Child funds one meal every month for parents of seriously ill children who are patients at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison. Each evening meal serves 50-60 people. Thursday’s Child donates $3,000 each year to provide these meals. The hospital itself, through money donated by NFL Alumni, funds one meal per week. Other meals come from organizations like ours.

Board member, Noël Ferguson is on Santa’s team to help make Christmas wishes come true for children who have been referred to Thursday’s Child by area social workers and doctors. In 2018, 170 children were on Santa’s list. Their parents received $50 Penney gift cards for each child in their family, with a $200 limit per family.
